Cosford Dog Training is run by John Fitzpatrick, MCGI, MBIPDT. John is a fully qualified, professional dog trainer since completing his formal training as a Royal Air Force Police dog handler in 1981.

Schedule for 2020

Hours of Business

We are currently operating Monday, Tuesday and Friday during normal working hours for 1 to 1 training and Behaviour Modification work. All Group training classes run on Saturday and Sunday with times notified to as stated below and agreed to at time of enrolment.

Due to The Lockdown starting in November all group classes are suspended for the period of the lockdown
1 to 1 and behavioural classes will continue as normal whilst maintaining social distancing. Updates will be published on the Cosford Dog Training Facebook page.

The 5th December puppy course is now full.  The Puppy courses starting at 1pm on Friday 4th December and Monday 14th December have spaces.      

Please email for details and a booking form.  This is a 6-week course and will take you and your dog through the KC puppy foundation course and prepare it for the Bronze Course.


The Bronze course starting on Sunday 15th of November is fullA new course will be announced shortly. 


The next Silver course begins on Sunday 29th of November is full.  A new course will be announced soon.   


The next Gold course will be announced in due course.  A date will be announced shortly. This is an 8-week course for dogs who have passed their Silver course.  When course dates are announced please email cosforddogs@sky.com 


This group runs at 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon all through the year.  This is not a drop in session, places are limited and attendance is by prior arrangement and for handlers serious about competing with their dogs in Working Trials, UK Dog Sport and/or UK Tracking Dog Association tests.
